Angel Cottage - 5 mins drive to Alton Towers!

Perfect house with perfect location for Alton Towers Positive: The location for using Alton tower was amazing, like minutes away. There is a Londis in the village for supplies and two local big towns if you want more. We stayed on Halloween and the host made such an effort to dress the house. Truly magical few days.

Disappointed!!! Beware Positive: Nice area, near to Alton Towers, Pubs near by Negative: Couldn't use 2 showers in property at the same time. Considering this property can hold alot of people it is very annoying! Oven hadn't been deep cleaned in ages so we wouldn't use so had to eat out. Floorboards for unlevel in places would pinch you feet. Lots of windows didn't shut or have handles to open! Sofa very uncomfortable and wasn't clean. Tap in kitchen needs attention. Shower screen over bath needs some deep cleaning inside. Bad limescale build up Beds are uncomfortable.

Don’t just come for Alton Towers, This is what I call real England. Must see Positive: All was explained in my pre-arrival email. It was like walking into your own home at the end of a hard days work. Everything was ready. Milk in the fridge ready for a cuppa after long drive, towels in bathroom ready for a shower. Beds made ready for bed. The house was warm. Didn’t need heating on once. Everything I needed in the kitchen was there. Negative: Leaving, I wish I’d stayed longer to appreciate the surroundings. This trip was purely for our entire family to do Alton Towers, but clearly there’s so much more to do in this pretty place, in the heart of England. Me and the wife will definitely be back to see the area as soon as we’re able to do so.
